The Salvation Army Harrisburg's Family Services department offers year-round, by-appointment support to individuals and families experiencing challenging times. Through compassionate and practical assistance, we help those in need navigate obstacles, achieve stability, and work toward long-term success.
Family Services include:
Spiritual Wellness — Providing opportunities for prayer, pastoral care, and spiritual guidance to nurture hope, encouragement, and healing.
Budgeting Support — Helping individuals and families develop financial plans, create realistic budgets, and learn money management skills for long-term financial stability.
One-on-One Life Coaching — Offering personalized coaching to set achievable goals, build confidence, and take steps toward self-sufficiency and personal growth.
Job Support — Assisting with every aspect of employment readiness and retention
Educational Community Classes — Offering free, community classes focused on financial literacy, life skills, and other essential topics that empower individuals and families.
Basic Needs Assistance — Meeting urgent needs and providing critical resources:
