The PA Working Wardrobe Program provides clothing assistance to help individuals succeed in the workplace. At The Salvation Army you will receive the individual attention of your own personal clothing consultant who will spend about an hour with you to make sure you look your best at a job interview, first day on the job or in training.

PA Working Wardrobe will help you with the items you need to start employment or participate in a training program such as:

  • clothing
  • shoes
  • hosiery and undergarments
  • accessories such as jewelry and purses, as available
  • hair and make up tips, as available

What do I need to do?

1. Contact your case manager at your training program, or your County Assistance Office (CAO) and ask for help with the clothing you need to go on a job interview, accept a job or participate in training.

2. Your case manager will explain the benefits you will receive from PA Working Wardrobe and will make a referral and/or schedule an appointment for you.

3.  Your case manager will give you a copy of the referral form to take with you to the appointment.

4. Go to The Salvation Army and meet with a personal clothing consultant who will help you select interview clothes, or the specific type of clothing that you need for training or employment so you look your very best on the job or as you attend training to prepare for work.

Questions about the program should be directed to our office at (570) 326-9187.

The PA Working Wardrobe of Lycoming County is funded by the State of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Welfare. The Salvation Army has assisted more than 143 men and women in 2012 with their return to employment.
