Social Services
The Salvation Army in Chester provides a wide variety of social service programs for individuals and families in need of support. All programs are provided in an inclusive manner, without distinction as to race or creed, and regardless of the recipient’s ability to pay.
Cafeteria Program
Free breakfast and lunch for the hungry—All are welcome!
Breakfast: 8:30 –9am (M-F)
Lunch: 12:00 –12:30pm (M-F)
Food Pantry
Emergency food boxes for hungry individuals and families.
Second and fourth Wednesday of every month
Life Skills Seminars
Free seminars are held periodically and are open to all adults ages 18 and older. Recent topics include:
· Motivational Speakers
· Medication Education
· Financial Training
· Local Community Resources
Permanent Supportive Housing Program
Housing assistance and support services for homeless individuals with disabilities.
A variety of programs are available to support veterans and their families
Warming Center
The Warming Center provides a safe and warm place for individuals and families without a place to sleep.
Stepping Stone Ministry
Case Management: Monday- Friday, 8:30am-8:30pm.
