The Salvation Army ensures kids are equipped with the tools they need to succeed, which starts by meeting their basic needs.
We take a holistic approach by providing programs with life-long impact such as character-building programs, summer camp opportunities, after-school education and more. At the core of all that we do for youth, fighting for them is synonymous with sharing God's love and grace.
After-School Program
Our After-School Program provides an opportunity for children to engage in crafts, table games, life skill training, group activities, organized sports, and peer mentoring. Children in the after-school program can receive tutoring in the Learning Center. The After-School Program runs from September to June and is open Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 8:15 PM.
The Learning Center
Our Learning Center provides homework assistance and tutoring for children participating in our After-School Program and Summer Day Camp. The Learning Center is the home of our STEAM program, educating children in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. This program is offered to children ages 6 to 10. Learn more here.
Summer Camps
Our Summer Day Camp is six weeks of summer fun that includes breakfast and lunch. There are sessions that include devotion. Children ages 6 to 12 will experience swimming, roller skating and meeting new friends. You can apply for Summer Day Camp below.
Each year, we enable thousands of children from low-income families to enjoy fresh air, exercise and new friendships through our annual summer camp programs. Learn about Camp Ladore.
