Our Leaders
Lieutenants Hector Cid and Melissa Lopez
The Cid Lopez family was appointed Corps Officers at the Reading Corps in 2020. Lieutenant Hector Cid and Lieutenant Melissa Lopez are passionate about serving in ministry in various areas, especially focusing on children and their education. They have a history of more than 20 years of serving in local churches in the ministry area and in community volunteering. Their passion is to serve God.
La familia Cid esta nombrada oficiales directivos del Cuerpo de Reading desde el 2020. El teniente Hector Cid y la teniente Melissa Lopez son apasionados para servir en el ministerio en diversas áreas, en especial enfoque hacia la niñez y su educación. Tienen una trayectoria de mas de 20 años sirviendo en iglesias locales en el área ministerial y también en el voluntariado comunitario. Su pasión es servir para Dios.
Lieutenant Hyesoo Kim
Lt. Hyesoo Kim is the Commanding Corps Officer/Pastor at the Reading Citadel Corps. Born in South Korea and raised in New York, she has been involved in The Salvation Army all her life as her parents are also Officers. She recently graduated from the College for Officer Training and is a newly commissioned Officer. As her passion is in youth ministry, she is working closely with the After-School Program and enjoys teaching and building relationships with the children. She firmly believes in fostering a safe, trusted, and fun environment for children to learn, grow, and discover their fullest potential.
La Teniente Hyesoo Kim es la Oficial Directivo/Pastor en el Reading Citadel Corps. Nacida en Corea del Sur y criada en Nueva York, ha estado involucrada en el Ejército de Salvación toda su vida ya que sus padres también son oficiales. Recientemente se graduó de la Escuela de Capacitación de Oficiales y es una oficial recién comisionada. Como su pasión es el ministerio juvenil, trabaja en estrecha colaboración con el Programa extracurricular y disfruta enseñando y construyendo relaciones con los niños. Ella cree firmemente en fomentar un entorno seguro, confiable y divertido para que los niños aprendan, crezcan y descubran su máximo potencial.
