**Non-Member Youths ages 5 and under will be charged Member price if parent is a member.

Swim lesson payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable after week 1.

Our approach to instructing is based on the following steps/levels. Please read below to find the level that best suits you:

 

Level 1:

Water Exploration
  • Students are introduced to and taught to feel comfortable in the water. They will learn safe, elementary level water skills that will provide a base for advanced training.
    For ALL beginners

Level 2:

Primary Skills
  • Students learn basic self-help rescue skills, as well as fundamental skills such as floating without support.
    For ALL beginners

Level 3:

Stroke Readiness
  • Students will begin basic stroke patterns, including front and back crawl, and refine skills such as treading water. Must be able to complete Levels 1 & 2.
    Must be able to float on stomach and back WITHOUT assistance

Level 4:

Stroke Development
  • Students develop confidence in basic front and back crawl strokes and are introduced to breaststroke, side stroke and wall turns. Must be able to complete Levels 1 & 2.
    Must be able to float on stomach and back WITHOUT assistance

Level 5:

Stroke Refinement
  • Students continue to refine key stroke patterns, increase their swim distances, and are introduced to skills that include butterfly stroke, open turns, and feet-first surface dives. Must be able to complete Levels 3 & 4.
    Must be able to swim one length of freestyle and backstroke WITHOUT stopping in Competition Pool

Level 6:

Skill Proficiency
  • Students polish their stroke skills, with emphasis on swimming efficiency, “powering” through the water, and continuing to increase swim distances. Must be able to complete Levels 3 & 4.
    Must be able to swim numerous lengths WITHOUT stopping in Competition Pool
