  • Personal Identification / Photo ID

Fall Chess Tournament

12:00pm - 5:00pm

On Saturday, October 20th, the Salvation Army Kroc Center Rec department brings back our seasonal Chess Tournament and we're itching to get the ball (or pawns?) rolling! Register online or at the Welcome Desk and meet us at the outdoor Pavilion for a full day of game, food, refreshments and fun. Do it soon because there's only 32 spots available!

Ages 12 and up, entry fee of $20 (includes food)

Let us help you demystify the box and make those emails less enigmatic! Navigate the World Wide Web with ease! It’s a perfect half hour of power for those who aren’t tech savvy. There’s no question too silly for us!

Sign Up with Ian in the Computer Lab (second floor). Limited seats available. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult to use the Computer Lab.

Chess Tournament

On Saturday, June 30th, the Salvation Army Kroc Center Rec department presents its first Chess Tournament and we want to see you there! Meet us outside at the Pavilion to help us find the Kroc’s first Grandmaster. Entry fee includes hot-dogs, hamburgers and refreshments on the house.

Water Safety Week

All week long, if you donate NEW, UNWORN children’s swim suits, the GUEST FEE IS WAIVED! Suits will be donated to the Kroc Center’s Josias Sterling Aquatic Education Program.

Join us May 14-18 for a week filled with events for all ages! Celebrate safe swimming each day with a new activity leading up to the Movie in the Pool with Disney's Moana Friday, May 18th at 6:45pm! The weeks schedule goes as follows:

  • Aquatics Jeopardy: 8:00am | 12:oopm | 4:00pm | Join us throughout the day in the Main Lobby for the classic trivia game with an aquatics twist! Win prizes for your swimming and pool knowledge! Sorry, no Alex Trebek though!
  • Interactive Workshop: 6:00pm | The world of a swimmer can sometimes be an unfamiliar place. Learn the ins and outs of how you can acclimate to the aquatic lifestyle through overcoming your fears, as well as access to lessons, leisure and competition swimming and sculpting health through swimming.
  • Scavenger Hunt: 6:00pm | How well do you know the Aquatics Center? Come and test your knowledge with prizes available! All ages are welcome!
  • CPR + AED Class: 6:oopm (with Water Exercise at 6:30pm)

A Day for Literacy!

Join us Saturday March 24th in our Wells Fargo Training Room for a (FREE) day of fun and learning! It's important for kids to learn and appreciate what doors reading can open for them. Teaching children the joys of reading can unlock all sorts of opportunities going further. We hope to give our participants a fun-filled day featuring:

Free Swim Lessons on MLK Day!

Beginner Lessons Offered

In honor of Dr. King, the Aquatics Department is offering free swim lessons on Monday, January 15, 2018. Registration is required (first come, first served!). You can register at the Welcome Desk. All lessons are for beginner level swimmers. Maximum of 6 students per class.

Lesson Schedule
  • Preschool - 5:30pm (30 min.)
  • School Age - 5:30pm (30 min.)
  • Preteen - 5:30pm (30 min.)
  • Teen - 6:15pm (45 min.)
  • Adult - 6:15pm (45 min.)

Help us support kids in need this Christmas by donating new, unwrapped toys! All guests get in to movie night FREE with a toy! So bring a friend or a few!

It's time to help our neighbors this holiday season. Join us, Saturday, November 4th for our Annual Aerobic Marathon and participate in an event that truly embodies what we’re about! This year, instead of toys, we are accepting new clothes like hats, scarves, and mittens or canned goods and other non-perishables for our local less fortunate neighbors. Win a prize for donating the most items!

The fun-filled day will include:

  • Our Zumba®-thon from 9am -11am
    Numerous Raffles & Prizes
  • Guest Fee Waived with donations
