Kroc Construction Updates

Wells Fargo Conference and Training Center expansion: Work continues, both inside and outside of our expanded conference center. On the outside, the HVAC unit was placed on the roof last week, drainage lines to support our campus storm water management plan are being installed, and the outside wall framing work continues. On the inside, interior wall framing, along with some electrical, plumbing, and duct work continues over the next couple of weeks. This project is on pace to be completed sometime around the middle of October.

Playground shading: Our shades have been installed! Along with landscaping around the playground area, this project is now complete and users of this space will now enjoy the comfort of shading over all areas of playground. We appreciate the compliance of all users to our posted rules, which include 1) parent/guardian supervision at all times, 2) following posted hours of access, and 3) assuring that all children are using the equipment as it is designed - Thank you!

Parking lot expansion: We are still in the planning phase for this work, which will eventually add 30-35 extra spaces to our overflow parking lot (across Wissahickon Ave from our center). Once this work begins, we will provide regular updates.

Kroc Construction Updates

Wells Fargo Conference and Training Center expansion project: Fireproofing of the new structure took place last week and is now nearly complete. Over the next couple of weeks, both exterior wall work and interior framing will continue, along with some mechanical and duct work. We expect that by August 1, the expanded space will be entirely closed in. The project is currently on pace to be complete sometime around mid-October. Playground shading: We were notified late last week that the shade sails are now complete! These should be installed by the end of this week (6/28) and will provide shade over the entire playground. Landscaping work around the new support posts should also be completed by the end of this week (6/28). Expanded parking across Wissahickon Ave: This project is still in the planning stages, with a projected "break ground' date of sometime in the fall. More information will be shared once we have it!

Kroc Construction Updates

Wells Fargo Conference and Training Center expansion: Work to finish off the roof and construct the new walls of our Wells Fargo space continues this week. Fireproofing the new wing, along with framing for window installation, will be our focus over the next couple of weeks. Weather has caused some minor delays, but we remain hopeful that this project will be done by the end of September. Hot tub project: Our new hot tub is completed and being used each day by our members and guests! Enjoy the warmth of the water during our regular operating hours (but don't stay in too long!) Playground shading project: We await the installation of the fabric shade sails (they had to be altered due to sizing issues; this has caused a delay in their installation). Once the re-sizing is complete, the shades will be installed and the landscaping finished on/around our playground area. Overflow parking expansion: We are working with our general contractor to secure a suitable company to do this upgrade work. We hope to have a final plan for this expansion sometime over the next 1-2 months, with expansion adding approximately 30-35 spaces to our existing parking across Wissahickon Ave.
