Shallow Water Lifeguard CourseMonday, March 23rd Presented by American Red Cross
This American Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguarding course reviews information that allows practice of rescue skills in areas with 5 - 7 ft. of water depth. First aid, CPR/AED training and awareness of emergency situations that occur in an aquatic facility will be covered throughout the course.
Lifeguard Training classes are designed to prepare individuals to become first responders in aquatic facilities and handle emergency situations. This 2-year certification must be recertified through the American Red Cross no later than 30 days after the expiration date to maintain. In order to participate in the course, participants must be able to swim 300 yards at a consistent rate using breaststroke or freestyle as well as tread water for 2 minutes without the use of hands.
