Tween Program Coordinator

Schedule: Part Time (up to 19 hours weekly) – must be willing and able to work weekends as may be required in performance of duties or as requested to support the ongoing operations of the Kroc Center’s Tween programming.

Position Description: The Kroc Tween Program Coordinator will help develop and implement traditional and non-traditional educational and recreational activities for all participants in the Tween Program.  The Kroc Tween Program Coordinator will give direct supervision to the youth as assigned in the Tween Room, Loft, gymnasium, and throughout the RJCCC campus. 

Requirements: High School Diploma, College education or experience in related field helpful. Detail oriented. Ability to work with a diverse population, including various age ranges.  Must possess the ability to provide excellent customer service and excellent program development skills. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English. Must be able to handle difficult situations/confrontations in a professional manner.  A valid Driver’s License preferred with the ability to meet The Salvation Army's driver’s standards and pass the Fleet Safety drivers test. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse and meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. Applicant should meet the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check. Must possess an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
