The Salvation Army Kroc Aquatics invites athletes at all levels and from all backgrounds to join us! SAKA's training programs reach high-achieving athletes as well as weekend warriors, and we work with all ages, from high school students to active seniors. The Salvation Army Kroc Aquatics (SAKA) swim team is Philadelphia's premier competitive swimming program and one of the top teams on the East Coast.
The mission of the SAKA program is to introduce the sport of competitive swimming to the families and youth of the Philadelphia area. The SAKA competitive swim program emphasizes technical development, including stroke technique, efficiency and fluidity in the water, and physical development. With proper training, swimmers develop speed and endurance in all competitive strokes. Key components of the program focus on both physical and mental preparation necessary to achieve one's goals, with the ultimate goal being to develpop the attitude of a champion. The SAKA competitive program creates a culture of success and achievement through the training of mind, body, and spirit.
