Join us on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg at 6:30 pm for the Annual Civic Event: Celebration of Science as we welcome special guest and honoree, Graham Hetrick. Graham is one of the nation’s most prominent coroners and international television star of the popular Investigation Discovery (ID) channel’s “The Coroner: I Speak for the Dead.” Graham is also extremely involved in fighting the opioid epidemic plaguing our country.

While Graham will provide a fascinating, timely keynote address for event guests, he will also work with selected Salvation Army youth program participants in a pre-event workshop, focusing on both science and good choices!

THANK YOU to our Presenting Sponsor:

THANK YOU to all who joined us to help honor our first responders!

On April 25, 2017 we had the privilege of recognizing and honoring those who serve and protect us, our first responders, at The Salvation Army Harrisburg’s 2017 Annual Civic Event "Celebration of Service."  In addition to our local first responders, we welcomed very special guest, Daniel Rodriguez.  A former NYPD police officer, Mr. Rodriguez is known to may as the "9/11 Singing Policeman," and "the voice that healed a nation" after the September 11th terrorist attacks. Daniel's uplifting words and incredible voice provided an evening we will never forget.

Prior to the main event, selected Salvation Army children participated in a Career Exploration and Community Building Workshop with first responders.  It was a great way for the kids to learn and interact with our local fire, police and emergency services personnel in a fun and interactive way!
