Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Image

Breaking the Cycle of Poverty

Through The Pathway of Hope Program

Donate Now

Pathway of Hope (PoH) uses an intensive, client‐centered case management approach to empower families and address root causes preventing them from becoming more self‐sufficient. By breaking the intergenerational cycle of crisis in conjunction with our extensive community partners, it offers a hand up as opposed to a handout and enables a path out of poverty.

Pathway of Hope is available in select areas:

Eastern Pennsylvania
Carlisle, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, Reading, York

Delaware
Dover, Seaford, Wilmington

Helping Families Make Lasting Change

PoH’s goal is to break the cycle of poverty, impacting multiple generations as we work long‐term alongside families with children, empowering them to move beyond crisis to a state of increased stability. Enrolled families and their respective case managers will take advantage of The Salvation Army’s extensive resources and community connections, developing personalized action plans oriented through a strengths‐based lens to overcome barriers and objectively track their progress over time.
