It's just about time to clean out the lockers and book bags. Time to say goodbye to the teachers and the bus drivers. Soon, the home will be filled with the sound of children again as school finishes up for the year. I'll be glad to get a break from the early morning cries of “I forgot about my homework” or “I need cookies for my class today”. Ah – the beginning of summer!
If you're worried what your kids will be doing all summer why not look into our summer programing for children at the Kroc? Our Annual Flock to the Kroc Day Camp is a program designed to keep your children (ages 5-12) engaged and active during the summer. Stop by our Kind Family Resource Center across from the Welcome Desk for more info!
And of course, this month we also celebrate Father’s Day. Fathers and/or father figures play an important in keeping children engaged, as well. They teach us life lessons and the fun things moms don’t want us to know – like how to spit. The Bible talks about a Father’s role - “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord” Ephesians 6:4. What a responsibility – to teach your children to know Jesus. We pray for Fathers as they take on this important role. Happy Father’s Day!
